Star Wars Episode 3 looks absolutely amazing a lot of people call me sad for liking StarWars but I just think there a bunch of losers. I agree with Ravin Fortuna The Matrix and all 3 Lord Of The Rings movies are awesome I hope Episode 3 is the best Starwars because it will make a fine colletion of DVDs. I think the Force and lightsabres are amazing. I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Welll im think your are all a bunch of losers Star Wars 1,2,4,5,6 and of course 3 (even though i havent seen but will) are all fing amazing come on its not everday we see the force and light sabres so who cares if they were rubbish (wicth there not) i wish that all films were like star wars apart from the decent ones e.g. Matrix and Lord Of The Rings.....So come on guys lets watch star wars for hopeffully not the last time ( i want 2 see 7,8 and 9)see ya........................oh and may the force be with you all. :wink:

I thought Jar Jar was very funny, a regular riot. If Lucas wanted to create a Gungan Adventure series (a la the Ewok Adventures), it'd probably be a hoot to watch. I just found him VERY unnecessary in moving TPM forward. R2 and 3PO provided plenty of humor in the original trilogy without being so "in your face" or campy about it. I can watch the Three Stooges when I want that.

Glad to see this thread is still alive and well. Been watching a couple of the trailers with my son every night before he goes to bed...we're both really looking forward to E3. He's anticipating it to be his favorite movie ever. And those trailers are pretty damn exciting. Got two of them edited to play on the PSP.

For the record, I must be one of the few SW fans who actually got a kick out of Jar Jar. I still quote him quite often "exsqueeze me."

This movie looks to have alot more action, and looks more promising than either of the first two ever did. This episode was stated to be the bridge between the prequels and ANH and it looks like it will do a good job of doing that.

One thing that disappoints me is that the prequels sorely lack any kind of great music.
The music in the originals was loud, it brought you closer to the picture.

I dont understand why movies arent made like this anymore, it really gets you involved in the film. Transformers the movie is another great example of what a well written score can do for a movie.

The prequels have little to none of this at all. Duel of fates is the only decent score and even that was rather disappointing.

Im hoping that ROTS will have a decent score with modified themes from the sequels. I want to hear the emperors theme, darths theme, the luke and leia theme (the birth) and I want them loud like the originals.
There is so much the music could do for this film but im not really holding my breath. I expect to be disappointed. I think the fans could make better starwars films than lucas even though they are his creation what we expected was just more of the same... we didnt get that.

But Jeff, it's HIS story, and Star Wars wasnt just Lucas telling his story, his whole life was actually spent on it, so how can you take that away from him? A part of you feels very cheated, is this another way of saying he raped your childhood?

And the complaints are not even essential to the plot. Oh well, I guess this will be the last time I will react to the disillusioned Star Wars fans.

I completely understand that Lucas was filming these movies for a younger audience. I remember waiting in line to see Empire and Jedi, I was too little to remember starwars. I loved the toys,colorforms, cereal and weapons. Kids are his target audience and as a kid I read the stories. Not ones done by other authors but the ones done by him.
When I found the prequels coming I was very excited and glad to see Lucas finally decided to finish his work. I was looking forward to seeing Mandalorian soldiers fighting Jedi, or a huge clone war but most important of all would be Darth Vader hunting and fighting Jedi.
Well we get Vader get the clone war But all the other stuff Darth making 3PO, Darths has a mommy but no daddy And last but not least there was JAR JAR, thee most annoying BACKGROUND character I have ever seen on film. I can not even watch Episode I without skipping past his scenes.
I am a Starwars IV - VI fan and I want to enjoy the new movie but there is a part of me that feels very cheated. The children of today may like the film but may not simply because there are other scifi's and lots of choices with toys. I think Lucas would have done better to make the movies for the children who grew up with the film and respected the story.

Mozart says, "As for the prequels, I try to remember that I am no longer the target audience for the films, and being a SW junkie, I will never really knock any of them, but to me the main thing missing in EP1 & EP2 is that emotional connection. I do however have high hopes for EP3".

I like this statement very much. I am 34 but I guess only Star Wars has been able to connect to that child in me. Not even animated films of late has been able to achieve that and with the prequels, I was able to recall how precious my childhood has been and some of it mainly due to the way I viewed movies then. Like you, I have very high hopes for Revenge of the Sith as it is the missing link, and hopefully will make Episodes I and II more acceptable even if I personally didnt have any problems with it.
